Privacy Policy

The short version

Bremer Core builds desktop software, not a data business. FileTwin and PhotoChecker scan files on your own device and never upload them anywhere. This site runs no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. The only personal information we ever handle is what you choose to give us directly, described below.

This website

The suggestion form on the FileTwin and PhotoChecker pages is the only data-collecting feature on bremercore.com. If you submit it, your suggestion — and your name and email if you chose to include them — is sent directly to our inbox by email. It is not stored in a database, and we don't share it with anyone else.

We don't use analytics, advertising pixels, or cookies of any kind on this site.

The desktop apps

FileTwin and PhotoChecker do their scanning entirely on your own computer. File contents, filenames, and photos never leave your device as part of a normal scan — there is no server involved in finding duplicates, checking quality, or detecting red-eye by default.

Two features are the exception, and both are opt-in:

• License activation. Activating a paid license sends your license key and a hashed device identifier (derived from your hardware, not personally identifying on its own) to our license server, which verifies it with our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. No file or photo data is included in this request.
• Cloud AI tier (PhotoChecker only). If you choose to enable the optional Cloud AI recommendation tier, the specific photos or flagged details you approve are sent to the third-party AI provider you configure, under that provider's own terms. This never happens unless you turn it on.

Payments

All purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment, collects any applicable tax, and stores your billing details under its own privacy policy — we never see or store your card details.

Your rights

Since we store very little to begin with, there's rarely much to request — but if you'd like a copy of any information we hold about you, or want it deleted, email support@bremercore.com and we'll sort it out.

Children

Bremer Core's products and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps or site after a change means you accept the update.
