What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of the FileTwin and PhotoChecker desktop applications ("the software") and the bremercore.com website, both operated by Bremer Core ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the software, or by submitting anything through this site, you agree to these terms.

Free tier

Both applications can be used without purchase: every scan is capped at 20 files (FileTwin) or 20 photos (PhotoChecker), with no limit on how many scans you run. This isn't a time-limited trial — it doesn't expire.

License grant

Purchasing a license removes the free-tier cap for the module(s) you bought. It grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use that module on up to two devices at a time. You can move a license to a new device yourself, at any time, using the "Move to a New Device" option in the app — this frees the slot on the old device immediately.

You're licensed to use the software, not sold a copy of it. Bremer Core retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in FileTwin, PhotoChecker, and their source code.

Acceptable use

• Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the software, or resell or share license keys.
• Don't attempt to circumvent the license activation or device-cap system.
• Don't use the software for any unlawful purpose.

We may revoke a license found to violate these terms.

No warranty, your decision

FileTwin and PhotoChecker are provided "as is." Both apps follow a strict recommend, don't delete principle — every scan produces a recommendation, never an automatic deletion, and removed files go to the Recycle Bin by default rather than being permanently deleted. Even so, you are responsible for reviewing every recommendation before acting on it and for keeping your own backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bremer Core is not liable for data loss or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software.

Optional AI features

PhotoChecker's optional Cloud AI tier sends specific photos or details you approve to a third-party AI provider you configure, under that provider's own terms of use. This is opt-in and disabled by default.

Payments and refunds

All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record for the transaction — they handle billing, tax, and payment security. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the software or site after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
